Description
With a Trident printer, headroom is limited, and the umbilical needs extra space to function effectively. To address this, I remixed a few G2E extruder designs and created two mounts: a swivel mount on the toolhead, which currently pivots on an M3 screw, and a mount on the back-right extrusion. The mount has a slight angle to apply pre-load, preventing the chain from sagging under its own weight. The holes on the swivel part might be bit small, please drill it out. I will fix it shortly.
The bearing version uses a press-fit F625ZZ flange bearing with a flange outer diameter (OD) of 16mm, a body OD of 14mm, and a depth of 5mm.
You will need a heat-set insert on the top of the swivel. The screw enters from the bottom of the mount and secures the swivel in place.
The bearing versions has slots for a zip tile to keep the cable from moving around. There is also a zip tile slot at the base.
