Urbanears Plattan ADV hinge replacement

I broke the hinge on my urbanears headset, so i contacted urbanears.
They instructed me to snap one ear off and cut the wire so it could 'never' be repaired.
I got a new headset, but they said something that sounded like a challenge. So i hurried to my
Cad program and designed a replacement for the hinge piece. So here it is !. All you have to do now is print it and get a new wire !
It should work with the little metal part that fit into the original.

How I Designed This

1.1 - Raw scetch

1.2 - Remade the sliding track + extended the top so it would print better and be stronger.

1.3. - Shortened the length of the part

Instructions

• Contact urbanears and follow their instructions to get a new headset. They will ask you to cut the wire and snap one ear of. Cut it in the middle under the headband, for easy fixing.

• Print the part.

• assemble it.

• Use a lighter too burn off the coating on the wires. Watch out ! this burns fast so blow it out quickly.

• Solder it back tougether, I would suggest using non solder metal connections, because it's hard to solder these wires. Don't forget to insulate it. I filmed an guide while doing this, i just have to get around editing it.
