Nikon F & F2 Reparatur ausgerissener Gewindering für die Augenkorrektur Linse.
An manchen Suchern für die Nikon F oder F2 ist das Gewinde aus dem Suchergehäuse ausgerissen.

Der Reparatursatz besteht aus einem Dorn mit Gewinde zur Aufnahme des nachgedruckten Rings und Gewinderingen mit verschiedenen Außendurchmessern, je  nachdem wie brutal der originale Gewindering ausgerissen wurde und wie groß das hinterlassene Loch ist.

Das Gewinde des Montagedorns mit einer Schichthöhe von 0,1 mm drucken. Ebenso die Gewinderinge mit 0,1 mm Schichthöhe drucken. 

Der Gewindering hat auf einer Seite eine Ansenkung damit das Gewinde der Augenkorrekturlinse leichter anbeißt. Diese Senkung beim Druck nach oben platzieren. Eventuellen Grat an der Unterseite nach dem Druck entfernen.

Den Gewindering auf den Dorn schrauben und ausprobieren welcher Durchmesser am leichteten paßt. Den Ring nicht mit Gewalt einpressen da sonst der Ring deformiert werden kann und dann paßt die Korrekturlinse nicht.

Zum Einkleben empfehle ich einen dickflüssigen oder pastenförmigen Kleber, z.B. 2-Komponentenkleber, weil dünnflüssiger Sekundenkleber kann sich über das Glas des Sucherokulars ausbreiten. Dann hat man ein ganz anderes Problem als das ausgerissene Gewinde.

Nikon F & F2 repair of torn threaded ring for the eye correction lens.

On some viewfinders for the Nikon F or F2, the thread has torn out of the viewfinder housing.

The repair kit consists of a mandrel with a thread to hold the reprinted ring and threaded rings with different outer diameters, depending on how brutally the original threaded ring was torn out and how large the hole left behind is.

Print the thread of the mounting mandrel with a layer height of  0.1mm. Also print the threaded rings with a layer height of 0.1mm. 

The threaded ring has a countersink on one side so that the thread of the eye correction lens bites more easily. Place this countersink upwards when printing. Remove any burrs on the underside after printing.

Screw the threaded ring onto the mandrel and try out which diameter fits best. Do not press the ring in with force as otherwise the ring can be deformed and then the correction lens will not fit.

To glue it in, I recommend using a thick or paste-like adhesive, e.g. 2-component adhesive, because thin superglue can spread across the glass of the viewfinder eyepiece. Then you have a completely different problem than the torn thread.
