I decided to actually print the Gridfinity version to color match my organizer that I'm constructing. It works well.
I'm using a different brand of bearing this time and it seems to fit slightly loose on the base post. I fixed by simply cutting a small strip of plastic from a freezer bag and draping it over the post before pressing together. It worked quite well.

I have added a Gridfinity compatible base option to the files. I have not actually printed it yet but I don't see any reason that it would work well.

I thought the original "Small Turntable" by walter was super cool and I wanted to remix it to hold USB drives.
Walter's original: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1061970
I imported the STL files into Tinkercad and started playing around with it.
I was not super happy with the way it imported or how additions looked.
So I just started over from scratch using the originals as a guide.
I wanted to make the turntable function as a USB holder and also wanted to remove some of the play by tightening up the socket and post for the 608 bearing.
The bearing fits super tight now and really needs to be pushed/tapped in but the result is a nice tight fit and very little wobble.
Needs one 608 bearing easily and cheaply obtained on Amazon.
As part of my design process I recreated the original top.
I have included flat top in case anyone wants to remix.
I left out the groove on the bottom for some type of o-ring or other rubbery thing for traction.
I'm just using tiny rubber feet.
