Description
These TPU pieces are more than just shock tower guards for the TLR 22x4 4WD buggy; they integrate the shock bushings, and the rear ‘fins’ help absorb energy during upside-down impacts in order to help save the rear wing.
There are two versions each for front and rear, the middle shock tower holes and the narrow holes. I recommend Hatchbox TPU, which has a Shore 95A hardness and is extremely durable.
Here you can see the difference between the middle and narrow versions. The ‘outline’ of the shock tower is still protected in both cases.
The parts can be printed flat-side down on the build platform, 15mm/s speed on everything, and the only supports needed are for the clearance shoulders on the bottom side (for the shock post integrated nuts). I recommend minimal organic supports, that give plenty of clearance around the hole, so that they can be grabbed and pulled off with needle-nose pliers.
Enjoy!
