IKEA Tisken suction cup replacement

When your Ikea Tisken sucking cup stops sticking to surface and starts “sucking”, and nothing helps, it is time to replace it for more sticking solution.

Print on the smoothest bed you can find, to ensure good sticking of the double-sided tape.

Instructions:

• Remove the original suction cup
• Replace it for the printed one
• Put the double-sided tape
• ???
• Profit

It is not quite easy to remove the suction cup from the mount. 

You have to drill a hole thru the middle of the mount, and try to damage the two plastic legs, that holds the suction cup to the mount

Then use larger pliers on the suction cup and use force to separate the suction cup from the drilled cover. 

Throw the suction cup and the cover to the trash and replace it with the printed one. It should screw up nicely.

Then use double-sided Tesa tape for bathroom mirrors and cover the bigger side of the mount.

Take an utility knife and cut the excess tape

Your good-as-new Ikea Tisken is ready to use :)
