FED 3 Rangefinder Glasses Saver / Eyepiece TPU

My FED 3 has scratched two of my nice glasses just from regular use so I fabbed together this piece. This offers protection from the sharp metal eye piece and prevents your glasses from getting scratched. You might have to scale down a percent or two depending on your TPU filament; I figured this out the hard way as one TPU filament was a super tight fit and the other was a loose fit.

FYI: Do not print in a “transparent” TPU as the ambient light bouncing around will make seeing inside the viewfinder impossible. I ran out of black TPU as I was prototyping this model so I had to use whatever I had on hand for photos which was this clear TPU; would not advise using it though…
