Rigid 4070 1-7/8" shopvac locking hose end (tug-a-long)

This end is for a Ridgid 4 gallon model 4070 shop vac with 1-7/8" hose, there are likely other ridgid shopvac's that use this 1-7/8" locking hose as well; its also called a Ridgid Tug-A-Long Genuine OEM 31713 1-7/8 hose. The locking end of the hose which attaches to the vacuum was missing on our vacuum so I drew up this replacement and it works great. I printed in PC.

One end has ribs to connect securely in the end of the hose and stay connected, or you can slice and dice this in your favorite CAD to change the hose side of this adapter for other needs. The vacuum side has an articulating latch to keep the hose securely attached the the vacuum; this works well, you can install or remove the hose with one hand.

There are two parts to the model, the latch does need to be pressed hard to insert it and it does not come out once inserted. To install the latch, I put it into the slots of the adapter and then place the back end of the latch on the top edge of a work bench  and then press firmly down on the adapter to snap the latch into place.
