Description
3" V2 - Stronger than the V1 3" frame. No taper down to motor mounts. In theory it's less than 1g heavier than V1, just more ugly (no more smooth tapers to the motor mounting surface). Took the most beating so far before breaking for me until I failed a fast matty by crashing butt first into the pavement - Added 4/28/25
3" V1 frame added! - Made this for a 1S O4 lite build with the 3in1 from Beta FPV. This is a early stages frame and is a heavy boy, but feel free to test it if you want. Should be plenty sturdy for 2s. Max motor bell diameter is 16mm (e.g. Rcinpower 1202.5 motors) - Added 04/14/25
2.5" V2.2 - Bottom cutouts reoriented to accommodate USB access for a BFPV 3in1 FC when the board is facing down - Added 04/14/25

V2.1 - I added a missing fillet on backside of the motor guards that should significantly improve their strength. Also slightly tweaked the motor hole diameter to make the screws easier to install but should still hopefully stop them from backing out over time. Added 04/04/25
V2 - better printability and stronger motor guards. AUW on this build is now 37.6g
Crazy stiff compared to normal carbon plate toothpick frames. Flies amazing and has been pretty durable so far
Build pictured is:
-BFPV 5 in 1 matrix FC
-Caddx Ant
-"Hyperlight" toothpick TPU canopy
-Whifflepick 2.5" frame printed in PET-CF from Siraya Tech
-Aliexpress $3 15000kv 1103 motors
-HQprops 65mm biblades (I also like the Gemfan 2.5" triblades)
-Gets 4:30 of aggressive flight time with a Tattu 450 1s and batteries recovering to 3.5v on landing (flight time was with Gemfan triblades and the "2s" thickness frame)
-36.5g
Print with 3 walls/bottom/top layers and 0% infill and no supports. Use something like PETG-CF or PET-CF (my preferred filament). I'm sure GF nylon or the like would also work as well
