Description
I have a Moza R9 mounted a Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0. For my use, I end up unplugging and moving it around a lot. I have been getting more and more concerned with the power connector at the base. My solution? Design a mount for the R9 power brick that bolts straight on to the NLR WS 2.0, thus moving the plug/unplug to the C14 socket on the brick, which is much more robust and easier to fix. Yeah, it's a mouthful, but here it is; my solution.
This bolts straight on to the arm for the shifter / brake mount. It is designed for a right side mounting, but it could be easily mirrored for the left side mount in your slicer. The intent is to mount the brick using four 8 inch zip ties doubled up in pairs, or a pair of 16 inch ones. Zip tie holes for the brick mounting are 2mm x 6mm, and should accommodate a fair range of zip ties. There are also a series of smaller zip tie holes for cable management. These are 2mm x 5mm. Most small zip ties will work perfect here.
This mounts using the pair of M8 bolts on the outside of the shifter mount arm. It does add 5mm of thickness, however there does not seem to be any issues with securing it again. If you're concerned you can source some additional M8 bolts that are ~5mm longer.
Print in ABS or ASA. I wouldn't print this in PLA, as I would be concerned about it warping from heat. PETG is probably fine too. The one in my photos is printed in ABS.
Lastly, the mount pattern is for M8 bolts, 90mm center to center on the holes. This may fit other NLR stands and rigs, or even other companies stands. It would be pretty easy to adjust the mounting holes if you wanted to remix it. I've included the .step file for anyone that wants to adapt this to another wheel stand.
