Description
This is a new version of the Chipolo Card insert for Ridge (or similar) minimalist wallets.
The previous one was removable, but I wanted something that would not slide out of the wallet and that I would not be able to drop by mistake. This insert replaces one of the side plates.
Place Chipolo card in the insert, button facing the inside of the wallet (face against the credit cards) so that you can still access the button if you need to.
Unscrew the exterior metal plate, remove the plastic side, replace with the insert, placing elastic bands in the grooves. Screw the plate back.
It adds the equivalent of 1.5 credit cards in thickness, but this is hardly noticeable (especially with cards in the wallet), and the Chipolo Card will never get in the way.
The wallets RFID protection doesn't block the BLE signal (but may reduce range), but my phone will only raise an alarm if I get outside the home without my wallet.
I tried reading the cards' NFC chips with a Flipper Zero, the wallet's RFID shield still works the same (the cards can't be read).
Printed with regular support, in Sunlu High Speed PLA on a Bambulab P1S.
