Description

Now go out and sew a yellow jacket to go with it!

This button is easy to print with no support necessary, but it will take a little patience to sew on.  It's best to use big loops and slowly make them smaller and tie off with a little whipping to hold the button off the surface a little.  Men's jacket buttons are often sewn with this method to allow a bit of “wiggle” - you'll have to make a slightly larger button hole than usual as well, but if you want this button you probably know about that!

The button is sized at 32L (20mm diameter) which seems about right for the energy it contains!

Printed at 1.0mm layer height with a 0.4 nozzle.  If you wish to make it smaller, scale it in all directions and consider using a smaller nozzle.

Printed with Prusament Lipstick Red PLA filament and finished with six coats of clear acrylic for some real zap, with no other surface prep.

The comparison photo with three buttons shows two gloss finished (white and red) and one red one off the printer.   The photo unfortunately does not do the gloss ones the justice they deserve, they have a nice smooth feel about them although it's hard to choose which I'd prefer. I think it would depend on the fabric.

I shouldn't have to add, but I will,  that cold or warm wash only will ensure that your buttons remain buttons.
