Description
This is a left human femur from a CT scan made available on Embodi3D (https://www.embodi3d.com/files/file/59865-femur/) by user “bazyar.” I segmented it with high detail in 3D Slicer and applied some edits in Meshmixer.
To print, use your slicer to cut it in 2 or 3 pieces and print with the cut surfaces down. For my print, I cut this in 2, added a connector, and printed at 0.12 mm layer height with tree supports.
Anatomical features are visible. This can be used in biology, forensic anthropology, bioarchaeology, paleoanthropology and anatomy to teach bone identification, bone siding, and human vs. non-human.
