Description
I bought this buck converter from Amazon for high voltage use, but some reviews showed the main inductor rubbing on the heatsink and metal case and shorting out. I made a plastic case replacement for it that allows for using the original M3 mounting screw and adjusting voltage while installed. You can access the wire terminals as well.
The lid is held on with 4x M2x6mm countersunk screws
Use paint on supports for the main terminal cutouts, 100% infill for the top case, and layer height modifier to increase infill to 100% after 3mm (3 to 30mm) for the body.
