Update 3/3/26: These retractors last around a 1000hrs of print time before the winding mechanism fails.
The stock piano wire broke at the extruder, so I needed something to hold the umbilical up and out of the belts / print.
Simple bracket to hold a security retractor. Mount near the rear and set the free-length collar so that there is minimal to no extension of the the retractor when the extruder is set in its front homing position. This minimizes wear and tear on the internal winding mechanism.
Requires 2, M3x5x(3 or 4) inserts per side.
