Description
I saw the repair kit for the broken strings on a drying rack by STxS.
I tried it and it fitted for my drying rack. This remix replaces the M4 nut holder with threaded inserts, because I have more of them around, then M4 nuts. ;)
I remodelled the lower half with the corresponding cutouts:
The upper part is still the original part and shared here for completness.
The threaded M4 insert are probably not that easy to purchase in small quantities for makers, but I have a bunch of them laying around.
You can remodel the necessary opening for your inserts easily even in the slicer.
I use this threads: HITSERT 0931 104 0083
I added a hole to bend the rod and secure it in there.
I also added a version for M4 nuts again, so other people can use this new version.
Print in PETG on the side with 0.2 mm layer height, without support.
Previously, I recommended PLA, but it didn't last long under load and in the sun. Use PETG!
Use your soldering iron at 250 °C and push the inserts in or use the version with M4 nuts.
This is my onshape document of the part.
