This case is designed not only for the safe and secure transport of your DJ controller but also to keep all your essential accessories neatly organized and easily accessible. With dedicated compartments that allow you to store cables, power banks, and small items like adapters and USB sticks, you can keep your setup well-organized. An additional clip system for Velcro cable ties ensures that everything you need for your performance is securely stored, efficiently arranged, and within reach. The thoughtful design allows for quick and hassle-free setup without the need to search through bags, making it the perfect solution for DJs on the move. Additionally, thanks to its modular construction, the case can even be printed on a Prusa Mini, offering maximum flexibility for different 3D printing setups.

• Protective Housing – Designed to securely transport your DJ controller while keeping the structure simple and durable:

• Foldable Design – By folding the case, you can switch between Travel Mode and DJ Mode, allowing for compact transport and an ergonomic setup when in use. Additionally, after folding, the case can be locked in place using the hinge mechanism, providing optimal stability during your DJ set:

• Carrying Handle – The handle is initially clicked into position to ensure a stable grip for easy transport. During mixing, it can be folded up so that everything is neatly stored and out of the way:

• Storage Compartment in the upper casing part – Offers various options for storing accessories:
  
  
  • The first option features a dedicated fixture for reusable Velcro cable ties, allowing cables or power banks to be securely fastened inside the case, preventing movement during transport. The Velcro ties can be threaded through the fixture from either side, ensuring a flexible and secure hold. This is especially useful for organizing the included USB power cable (Type A), the DJ splitter cable, and the additional stand for smartphones and tablets. All these accessories can be neatly stored using the Velcro system, keeping everything in place. Furthermore, storing the power bank allows the DJ controller and smartphone to be charged while mixing.
     
  • The second option includes a small storage compartment designed for storing compact accessories such as USB sticks or adapters within the case.

• Hinges with Click System – A custom-designed click system was developed specifically for this case, allowing the hinges to function without the need for additional screws. This ensures a tool-free assembly while maintaining stability and durability. The print-and-go functionality allows for a quick and hassle-free setup, making the case ready for use immediately after printing:

• Standard DJ Mixer Height – When fully set up in DJ mode and folded into position, the setup matches the height of a standard DJ mixer. This ensures a familiar and ergonomic layout, providing a comfortable mixing experience:

• Smartphone Holder – Keeps your phone securely in place while mixing. The holder can be removed when the case is folded, ensuring a compact form for transport. The adapter can be conveniently stored in the small parts compartment during transit:

• Cable Cutouts – Precisely placed openings for USB and audio jacks, allowing for clean and organized cable management while mixing. Additionally, a dedicated pass-through for a power bank connection ensures that both the DJ controller and smartphone can be charged without interrupting the setup.

• Modular Assembly – If a smaller 3D printer is used, the housing consists of modular parts that click together for easy assembly. On a larger printer, the entire housing can be printed as a single piece, ensuring a seamless structure:

• Branding & Gimmicks – The logo is prominently displayed on the front of the case, giving it a distinctive look. Additionally, the triangle from the logo is used in different places to highlight the Hercules brand:

This case was designed as part of the Hercules DJControl Mix contest challenge to create a functional and innovative DJ mixer case. The entire design process was carried out using Fusion 360, ensuring a precise and well-structured model.

A key focus of the design was the Pizza Principle, meaning the case was developed with a modular and scalable approach, allowing it to be printed in smaller sections if necessary—similar to how a pizza is divided into slices. This ensures compatibility with smaller 3D printers like the Prusa Mini, while also allowing the entire case to be printed in one piece on larger printers.

The goal was not only to create a practical and protective solution but also to integrate thoughtful details that enhance the DJ experience. With a strong emphasis on modularity, ease of use, and branding, this case aims to reflect both functionality and creativity—blending engineering and passion for music.
