Description
I always found it hard to fill the rinse aid reservoir of my dishwasher without spilling quite a bit and making a general mess.
I mostly blame the dumb standard lid.
I designed a replacement that is much like one of the refillable picnic ketchup container lids.
No support is needed if you print it with the nozzle pointing up.
I used a small brim just because I always do.
0.2mm layer height is advised since I made the cap retention strap 4 layers thick @ 0.2mm.
I found that putting a light crease in the cap retention strap makes it easier to operate.
I think that it seals better if you cut the Jet-Dry seal leaving material on the top to act like a gasket. This is opposed to just pulling it off.
I printed in PLA but I think that PETG would be better for bendyness and resistance to water/chemicals.
I'll probably reprint in PETG. (I don't use ABS)
It works well and fits the giant bottle of Jet-Dry pictured that Costco sells.
Not sure if it works for any other size container of Jet-Dry. YMMV.
I created this in TinkerCAD and it is public over there if you want to remix (Tinker) it.
