Description

Smart Laser Pointer for Pets โ€“ Interactive Toy for Animals Introduction

Want to keep your cat (or curious dog) entertained without manually moving the laser pointer? The Smart Laser Pointer for Pets is the perfect solution! This automatic device moves the laser randomly using two servo motors controlled by an Arduino Nano, stimulating your petโ€™s hunting instincts and keeping them active, fit, and mentally engaged.

Designed to be compact, easy to print, and simple to assemble, this toy is perfect for DIY enthusiasts who want to create an interactive experience for their pets.

How does it work?

At the core of this project is an Arduino Nano, which controls two servo motors to move the laser across two axes, creating random patterns that keep pets engaged. The algorithm can be customized in the code to modify laser behavior, adjusting speed, movement angles, and trajectories.

The laser pointer is powered by a 5V 1A/2A power supply, making it flexible and easy to use in different environments.

Required Materials

Electronic Components:

๐Ÿ”น Microcontroller: Arduino Nano + Nano Shields
๐Ÿ”น Laser Diode: powered directly by Arduino
๐Ÿ”น 2x MG996 or MG995 Servo Motors for movement
๐Ÿ”น Jumper Wires for connections
๐Ÿ”น Power Supply: Battery or 5V 1A/2A adapter

3D Printed Parts:

๐Ÿ”ธ Laser Mount โ€“ support for the laser module
๐Ÿ”ธ Servo Support Y โ€“ vertical movement structure
