Description

Recently I designed a very rugged Tablet Stand for a Tradeshow booth that used quite a bit of unique hardware.  After posting the design on Reddit and getting feedback, I decided to try and duplicate the design without using any hardware at all.  What a fun challenge!

Assembly:  The bottom cross-section has three feet on each side that press into the left and right bases.  It only fits one way so make sure to look at the picture.  The rear cross-section fits into a slot on the arms and then slides down.  It fits in multiple ways, when it is inserted the correct way, the slot opening will not be visible.  Use the four nuts to connect the left and right hooks to the base and arms.

Tips:

  • The included GCODE prints the bolts with 5 perimeters - it is overkill for most, but I wanted to try and minimize issues for everyone.
  • If you have issues with the bolts, try printing them at .15 layer thickness
  • The bottom cross-section is press fit and has tight tolerances.  Please understand if you are having issues, it is your printer/slicer settings; not the design.
  • The rear cross-section fits into the opening and slides down into the slot to lock.  Like the bottom cross-section, it is a very tight fit.  Again, if you are having issues, it is your printer/slicer settings; not the design.
  • If using with smaller devices, move hooks and bolts to inside.
