Description
This 61 mm aperture mask works as filter to reduce the brightness of the moon. It reduces the amount of light entering the telescope by 75%.
I found the full moon quite bright to look at and leaving an afterimage, even after letting my eye adjust for a little while. There are moon filters to put onto the eye piece, but I didn't have one of those around.
The mask works well; it reduces brightness and eliminates the afterimage effect so looking at the moon for a prolonged period of time is more relaxing.
