Description
A flippable screen protector and grip for the RP5. Â I'm going on a trip in about a week and wanted a way to make this thing a little more travel friendly when I throw it in my bag. Â I've seen similar models for the Retroid Pocket 3 & 4, but couldn't find one here for the Retroid Pocket 5.
Print with tree supports, solid walls (I did 5 top/bottom layers and 4 wall perimeters). Â The overhangs on the bottom are pretty rough to print, but it works and still feels pretty comfortable. Â I also used 0.5mm adhesive felt to help protech the screen, but it isn't necessary.
Enjoy!
20250310 - Minor update to model to better support wired headphones. Â Also, changed orientation of model for better quality finish of bottom curves. (Thanks to suggestion by @aure_232173)
Â
20250314 - Another minor update to fine tune the fit and make some design adjustments so the power/volume buttons don't get mashed when taking it on and off. Â Thanks for the feedback @EldenDank_2362569 and @tazguy79_930007
20250315 - The sharp corner below the triggers bugged me, so I added a slight fillet. The updated models are v1.3 below.
20250906 - Updated model to make finger grooves on the back curve. This improves the ergonomics. I also reduced overall case width by 1mm to make it fit more snuggly. Â Updated versions are V1.4, in both smooth and ribbed options.
I recommend printing with the volume/power buttons on the print bed and using tree supports.
