Bolt EUV - J1772 / CCS1 Charge Handle Cover - v1

Modeled for the Bolt EUV charge port. Dimensions to check if your charge port is compatible:

• 83mm tall
  • From the apex/top of the curve, to a bottom edge of the cover
• 86mm wide
  • Edge to edge
• 135.088mm radian (overall curve)

Purpose: Cover the charger handle to prevent rain, sleet, snow from freezing the latch. Works for both the charger handle latch AND the charge port latch. I've had both independently freeze on me. Takes some work to get them un-stuck, but this prevents them from getting frozen in the first place.

Version 1 details:

• Functional print
  • Prevents rain, sleet, snow from getting on the charger handle and freezing the latch.
• Perfect fit, NOT a friction-fit
  • Sits on top of the charging handle
  • Push up against the charging port
  • Issue: The charge port's latch protrudes, stopping it from going further up against the charge port
    • Version 2 will fix this

Print recommendations:

• Winter & J1722 only use
  • PLA
• Mixed use (summer, CCS1)
  • PETG minimum (<1yr use)
  • ABS recommended
  • Nylon-CF preferred

Testing performed:

• Rain
  • Charger handle did not get wet
• Snow
  • Some snow by the DCFC pins that accumulated at the bottom of the charge port
• Ice / Sleet
  • Charger handle did not get wet or freeze
• Winds up to 16mph
  • Did not fall off overnight during 16mph winds
