Description
The models are single gang electrical box covers that contain integral sockets for mounting anderson powerpole pairs. The sockets are set deep enough to have the powerpoles flush with the plate surface for protection. Two versions are provided, one with a single pair and another with three pairs.
The sockets contain mounting ribs to retain the pairs in place without additional hardware. There is also a hole through the sockets to permit use of a “pin” to further secure the pairs if desired. The “pin” can be a piece of 1.75 filament or a 2mm rod or screw.
With the deep sockets, fit is very tight when inserting the shell pair and can require significant force. Installation can be made a bit easier if the anderson powerpole pair ( APP ) is inserted with the connector shells “staggered” a bit. Staggering the APP allows one shell to engage the mounting rib first, then the other can be pressed into place, aligning the pair properly as it engages the rib on the other side.
The “powerpole shell pusher” model can make the insertion easier by providing a means to apply force. See pictures for pusher use in another application.
If engagement is too tight, the rib height can be manually shaved to ease insertion. This should not be necessary, but differing printer characteristics may make it advisable. If the ribs do not provide sufficient retention the addition of a pin through the mounted pair will provide security.
Fusion 360 source and .STEP files are included.
