Description

The Pole Pot Platform marks the start of a new series of mine, where different pots are mounted on a 35cm diameter wooden dowel. This model is easy to print and requires almost no supports. Using the All_Parts.3mf file, all the supports are already included. As I have just finished my series of lampshades for plant lights, it just seemed right to include a version with plant lights if you want to mount it somewhere with not so much natural light.

Features

  • Simple and modern design
  • Easy to print
  • Optional plant light
  • Designed to use a 35cm diameter wooden dowel
  • Files are available in 3mf format

Printing Recommendations

  • Layer Height: 0.20mm/0.25mm
  • Infill: 15%
  • Supports: Support amplifier only
  • Filament Suggestions: PLA/PETG

Not Printable Parts

These parts are only necessary if you want to print the version with a lamp

Assembly Instructions

The following measurements are meant for a 1-meter dowel. You can add or subtract according to your pole.

  1. Mark a straight middle line from top to bottom on your wooden dowel
  2. Put on an end cap (do the following accordingly for the other cap)
  3. Take the Cap_Spacer and the Wall_Mount on top and align it with the marked line
  4. Take a screw and mark the drilling holes and drill the holes afterwoods to prevent splitting
  5. If you use the lamp version, guide the cable through the spacer and the wall mount and leave some extra int the wall mount
  6. Screw in the wall mount using the Pole_Fastener using 4.5 mm screws
  7. The holes for the wall need to be 3 cm apart per wall fastener, and the bottom of the top and the top hole from the bottom need to be 97 cm apart. You can also partially screw in smaller screws and press the fully assembled version against the wall to mark your mounting holes. Drill the holes and add wall ankers
  8. Screw the Wall_Fasteners to the wall
  9. Slide on your pole - the design clicks in, making it securely mounted.

To mount your pots, you can use the included Angle_Finder. With this, you can easily align the middle line with the perfect 45 or 90-degree angle.
