Description

The purpose of this model is to accommodate spool widths up to 70mm in a Hub Mounted Drybox.  The Frame is designed to accommodate any Hub mount which has an 8mm axel that can accept the provided Octagonal Mounts provided herein.  Alternatively, the user can provide his own Octagonal Mount connected to a different axel.

One such mount is the Filament Rewinder (https://www.printables.com/model/1229713-filament-spool-rewinder).

This version of the Drybox can accept a Humidity/Temperature sensor.  See BOM for source.

Included is a Label Holder and sample label.  The holder is intended to be fastened to the front of the clear upper portion Drybox above the Humidity/Temperature sensor, 20mm down from the top.  See photos for placement. Use hot Glue to affix the Label Holder to the clear Drybox cover.

A 10mm filament feedthrough hole is drilled approximately 35mm up from the clear box opening on the size scribed with volume marks.  The hole should be at the 120ml mark.

PTEG Cap is provided to secure a PC4-M10 PTFE tube connector.  The PC4-M10 connector is routed through the 10MM hole drilled above and screwed into the PTEG Cap.  This firmly secures the connector to the clear box.

The Frame is designed to tightly fit into the clear box.  This holds the Mounts and Hub in place.  The user supplied Hub should fill the space between the Mounts.

The referenced Dessicant Cup was incorporated as a convenient way to keep the interior of the Drobox and its contents dry.  In practice a fresh load of desiccant with a dried spool of filament will maintain an atmosphere of <20% humidity for more than 6 months.
