This is a 50mm ball in box model to help you dial in your CNC machine.
Box: 50mm with 5mm rails
Sphere: 46mm diameter
Notes:
Use the 50mm - ball-box-12mm-depth-for-makeracam.step file when generating tool paths. It cuts down 12mm, which is the minimum amount to cut and have a perfect sphere when all sides are finished. Especially useful with MakeraCam which cannot machine the model as-is.
The sphere clamps hold the ball in place when you are machining the 6th (last) face. I 3d printed these.
The 50mm-clamp-protection file is a piece you can use to protect your box from getting damaged while clamping. If you make yours in plastic, it's easy to scratch with normal clamping force.
