MINI R60 Rail MagSafe Holder V2.0

What it is for

It is mounted using base from sunglasses case that is placed between front row of seats in MINI R60 (Countryman in my case). If smartphone is placed in parallel with car direction, it won't block hand brake and very convenient for both passenger and driver to use.

Required electronics

Model has niche for original Apple MagSafe charger, so I recommend to use it and power it up from car charger with 30W.

Printing tips

Please use some kind of elastic material (I am using 3M tape) at the corners to eliminate the vibration!

I am printing using Creality K1C with PLA filament.

I printed v1.0 absolutely with no supports and it works, except for unpleasant looking bottom of MagSafe slot. Due to changes in v2.0 I think you no longer can print it completely without supports. If supports are placed under magsafe niche, it tends to shrink the area, so you may need to use a knife for complete filament removal.

Fixed in 2.0 version issues:

• iPhone 16 Pro Max cannot be connected due to massive camera block
• it is almost impossible to get out the charger
• Pillars at the corners are to wide and model cannot be placed right
