DIN-Rail Adapter for WAGO Miniature Rail-Mount Terminal Blocks

This adapter for 35 mm DIN-rails offers space for up to 21 (2052 / 2252 Series) or 31 (2050 / 2250 Series) miniature rail-mount terminal blocks from the TOPJOB® S range. The vertical arrangement on the DIN-rail, rotated 90°, saves space by accommodating up to 62 clamping points on a width of ~36 mm, rather than ~112 mm. This represents about a 68 % space reduction. Up to five terminal blocks without snap-in mounting feet (2x5x-31x) can be positioned between two terminal blocks with snap-in mounting feet (2x5x-32x) to ensure the required holding force/stability on the adapter. The open side of the last terminal block should be provided with an end plate (item number 205x-391) for touch-proof protection. For electrical connection of multiple terminal blocks, WAGO’s TOPJOB® S Series Jumpers (item number 200x-40x) are ideal. The miniature terminal blocks can be labeled with marking strips (item number 2009-110) or WMB Inline markers (item number 2009-113) for documentation and marking purposes.

The miniature terminal blocks are available in the following color variants, where the last digit of the product number identifies the color: 1: gray; 2: orange; 3: red; 4: blue; 5: black; 6: yellow; 7: green/yellow; 1/000-014: brown This solution supports many specific space-restricted use cases. Examples include 24 V distribution boxes, three-phase distribution boxes, KNX® applications, signal transmission and many more.

Preparing the Adapter for Installation Once the component has cooled and been removed from the print bed, remove any unwanted printing residue from the adapter’s contours that were created in the printing process.

Mounting the Adapter First place the smooth side of the adapter on a firm, rigid surface, such as a stable tabletop. The three latches should now face upwards. Then carefully bend the part of the adapter that latches onto the DIN-rail over the integral hinge. Finally, insert the three latches simultaneously into the openings provided and snap them in to prevent deformation of the adapter plate. The miniature rail-mount terminal blocks can now be mounted.
