Description
This meticulously designed box provides a perfect home for a 100-marker art kit, allowing for horizontal storage that showcases the vibrant colored ends of each marker. The box is equipped with a sturdy lid that features a secure, tight-fitting closure at the bottom, complemented by a stylish knob for easy access. The knob is thoughtfully attached using an M3 heat-set thread and a short M3 countersunk screw, ensuring a clean aesthetic and solid functionality. Additionally, the hinge pin comprises an M2 x 0.4 x 35mm screw, firmly secured with two M2 nuts and a lock washer positioned in between for enhanced durability. To assemble this component, a very small 4mm wrench is required for precise fitting. While this project seems straightforward, it requires a substantial amount of filament to complete. Feel free to utilize any materials that you have readily available. In my project, I opted for a PLA construction using 3 Walls and 25% Infill with a honeycomb pattern.
Furthermore, the divots located on the bottom of the box serve a practical purpose—they are designed for affixing four silicone “cabinet bumpers” which function as effective non-skid feet, providing stability and preventing any unwanted sliding during use.
