Glass quarter pint jars are ok in a travel bag, but I have had some break on me. I designed this simple to print jar that takes regular Ball Lids and Bands for an air tight seal. I use the round disk as a lid insert for attaching labels. These lid inserts work for the regular glass jars too. Links above are Amazon affiliate links and help support my efforts!
Supports are not needed as overhangs are about 60 degrees from vertical, but wall ordering should be set to "inside to outside".
I would not recommend using these containers for long-term storage or cellaring due to the porous nature of 3D printed plastic. Containers that I have forgotten about at the bottom of my bag have kept things fresh for more than a couple of weeks. (Edit 20-Nov-2024: I found one of these full of pipe tobacco at the bottom of a bag I used for travel back in August. The tobacco is still fresh and supple.)
