Description
This part is found on the back of the heater control unit of a 97 or 98 Jeep Cherokee. It is used to operate the heater blend door cable.
You will need to use a .25mm nozzle, running a .07mm or .05mm layer height, and have every thing dilled in for the teeth to mesh properly. You will also need to use at minimum PETG due to the possible temps the part will see. PA6/12, ABS, ASA, or any other high temp durable filament will work best.
I will also note that sending off to be made with either a SLA or SLS printer will be even more ideal. This will be even closer to the original injection molded POM part.
The It is a tricky part to print off due to the geometry. The best luck I have had is placing it on the flat corner then using snug supports at .15 separation distance to help support the part. The ears on the end of the center rib will need some attention in the post procession to make sure they are printed smoothly.
