Intro Notes: This was designed to be printed in TPU or other flexible filaments. Requires disassembly of the radio to install. Pictures show SPK-MIC_Cover_v3 on an 895.
Print Parameters: 0.2mm Nozzle, 100% Infill, 0.1mm Layer Height, 2 Shell layers. No supports required.
Installation:
- Remove the rear clip, battery cover, and batteries.
- There are 5 screws holding the plastic shell together, 3 in the battery compartment, 2 are in the top of the back exterior. The right most screw on the exterior is a different size than the rest. Remove all 5 screws.
- Gently pry up on the rear half of the shell and remove the remains of any old port cover if needed. There is a plastic clip on the top part of the shell. You do not need to completely remove the back shell to replace the port cover, just enough to slide the part in/out.
- Install new port cover.
- Install the 5 screws (noting the different screw in the upper right), batteries, battery cover, and rear clip.
