I was given an Icom IC-2350H VHF/UHF 50watt radio and I want to make a manpack out of it. However I'm too cheap to purchase an aluminum cage and I own a nice 3D printer. My Fusion360 skills are limited but I'm getting better. This is my first design of a cage and it turned out awesome. Fits like a glove.
I printed the prototype in PETG with 3 walls/3 tops/3 bottoms and 30% infill and it worked great, very strong.
The final version is printed in PETG-CF with 6/6/6 and 50%. Needless to say it would take alot to break this. I've been using Polymaker PETG-CF Fiberon and really like it.
There is only one STL file, they are symmetrical so print two and bolt them on both sides.

I have also designed relocation brackets for coax and audio. The slots are designed to MLOK specs and fit very well. You might have to take a file and smooth out the inside of the slots just a touch depending on your printer.
