Description
One of the original plugs of one of my PolyDryer dry boxes was damaged by my Bentley (my female bunny). I originally thought I might see if I could purchase a new plug from Polymaker, but with some inspiration, I decided I'd make my own, based closely on the original design.
There are two versions of the plug - the default is for super-flexible filaments such as Ninjaflex (85A shore hardness) or Recreus FilaFlex 82A. The other version is explicitly designed for the less flexible, but much more common, 95A shore hardness TPU.
It's possible you may need to tweak the dimensions to get it to fit - to do so, simply scale in only the X and Y the same percentage - make sure it's a very small percentage. Alternatively, try adjusting your flow percentages for your flexible filaments - a little change goes a long way.
As shown in the photos, I have printed and tested both plugs. The blue is the 82A FilaFlex. The black is 95A TPU.
Be sure the TPU is very dry - I was able to print both parts at the same time with almost no stringing when the TPU was dry.
