Description
This is a castle based on the original games workshop medieval castle, 28mm scale. It comes out at being around 500mm x 500mm (1.5' x 1.5').
It's designed to be printed in vase mode. So will print very quickly, on my old Ender I estimate that it will print all the pieces in around 3.5 days vs 10+ days.
This requires a large nozzle at least 0.8mm but preferably 1.0mm. PLA should be fine. You'll have to slow the print down for the overhangs.
You can find instructions on how to print in vase mode here:
I've not printed yet so would appreciate any feedback. This would probably scale for smaller printers or I might consider a small version if there is some demand.
Happy printing and good luck. I'll post a print myself when I convert my printer to a larger nozzle.
P.S. I originally wanted to do this in Blender but couldn't get the textures to come out properly. I'd be happy to supply an STL with no stone pattern if someone wants to do this!
V2 - The thin walled battlements version. I thought the battlements looked a little chonky so thinned them out. These have “THIN” after the model name.
