Iphone 12 mini to microscope ocular adapter

This is an adapter designed to mount an iPhone 12 Mini onto a microscope eyepiece. It is based on Karmen3D's design but has been modified for easy drop-in and removal.

The case attaches to a part that fits snugly over both the left and right eyepieces using flat-head M3x5 mm screws. I pre-threaded the holes with a tapping bit before assembling the parts.

This design is specifically made for the iPhone 12 Mini and eyepieces with an outer diameter of 40 mm. There is also an option to add heated inserts for M3 screws to secure the adapter more tightly, though in practice, this wasn’t necessary as the components fit together with tight tolerances.
