Description
This is a modern, organic-style pendant lamp designed to bring a soft, aesthetic light diffusion to your space.
The design is split into two parts:
Base Support: modeled in Fusion 360
Lampshade: parametrically created in Grasshopper (Rhino)
The lamp is compatible with the IKEA HEMMA Set (E27 socket) and was tested with a 4000K, 2000 lumens bulb.
You will find two versions of this model:
Strong version (thicker walls, extra durability)
Optimised version (lighter, faster print, less filament)
⚠ Important note:
The settings for Bambu printers are already included in the .3mf file attached.
For other printers, you should use the following print settings:
Base: Print it normally, with standard walls, top, bottom, and infill.
Lampshade: Remove top layers, bottom layers, and infill in your slicer, and leave only 1 or 2 external walls.
This is because the lampshade STL is a solid body (not shelled). I wasn’t able to properly shell the mesh in Rhino or Fusion 360, so I prepared it like this. That’s why the print is split into two parts with different settings.
For my print test, I used Bambu Lab PLA WOOD at 0.28 mm layer height, but the result was not the cleanest — mostly because of poor print settings and the rough texture of PLA WOOD.
If you print it with Matte PLA or standard PLA at a lower speed (already included in the .3mf) and lower layer height (0.16 / 0.20mm), the result will be smoother and closer to a premium look.
✅ You can print the lampshade even faster and thinner if you use a 0.6 or 0.8 mm nozzle and only 1 wall thickness for the lampshade.
This is how it should look:
