GoPro Car Tow Hook/Hitch Mount - Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, BMW, Daimler DIN ISO 5422 M20

Remixed version of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3681819 with 90-degree turned gopro-mount to print it vertically without support for better stability.

Also added a version to use M5 thread inserts by ruthex for the gopro.

Tried it so far on 2006 BMW E92, 2006 Mercedes-Benz C55 and 2021 Porsche 718 Boxster hook. Could also fit other hooks.

 

Printing:

• no supports needed
• works with PLA, PETG might be better as its less brittle
• print it orientated as shown in the previews
• use at least 4-5 walls

Assembly:

• 3x M5 Nut & 1x threaded insert or 4x M5 Nut
• 4x M5 screw/Gopro-screws

An action camera mount to fix on an DIN ISO 5422 M20 tow mount hook. Those are typical for many German car makes. Might apply for others. My tow hitches are about 53,50mm wide and 11..13mm in diameter.

Nice is that this one is really sturdy and the camera can be taken off together with the hook.
