Description

This 3D printable bee model was created for educational use—a fun, hands-on way to explore insect anatomy and movement, especially in the context of pollinators like bees.

The model features movable wings that snap onto the body using a ball-joint system. This makes it interactive and ideal for engaging kids in biology or nature lessons. Learners can explore how a bee moves its wings in flight while holding the model in their hands!

Features:
🟡 Snap-on, movable wings using a ball joint
🟡 Two versions of the body included:
🔹 One-piece body – more realistic but requires good printer settings
🔹 Split body (two halves) – easier to print, glue together after printing
🟡 Great for classrooms, homeschool, nature centers, or creative play
🟡 Very little support needed for the split-body version.

Print Info:

  • Recommended material: PLA or PETG
  • Very little support needed for the split-body version.
  • Print wings and body parts separately
  • The split-body version requires a bit of glue
  • Snap the wings into place after printing for smooth, movable action!

Assembly:

  • Choose your preferred body version (split or whole)
  • Print the parts
  • If using the split version, glue the two halves of the body together
  • Snap the wings onto the side ball joints – no glue needed for the wings!

Educational Use:
This bee model is great for teaching:
🐝 Basic insect anatomy
🐝 How bees move and fly
🐝 The role of bees in ecosystems and pollination

You’re welcome to use this in your science lessons, nature talks, or art-meets-biology projects. I’d love to hear how you used the model!
