Description
A chain store ad told me they had small (in this case 6") steel tongue drums that were labled rain drums. Yes, I definitely needed one. Like a lightning off to the store I went and happy with my new rain drum to the shower later that day. Because if it works with rain, it sure works with shower and what a lovely, relaxing experience it was! But. When drying the drum, to prevent rusting, I noticed that the rubber thingies on the bottom caused the water to linger so I took them off. BTW, it rings louder that way, so win-win!
Now what? My drum needed some kind of stand! With my morning coffee this was my hack job in Slicer. I'm happy with it, but if you want to make some changes, there's my project file, have fun.
This was inspired by butterflies, I love butterflies..
AND! Special feature. The stand can also hold and display the drum tilted, see the pics.
EDIT: After using it awhile, I found it a bit unstable to kick around floor so I made a version where it nests nicely between the butterfly-wing-thingies. More stable on shower floor. I added pics and the stl.
Printed with speed profile in Prusa XL, generic PLA, 3 perimeters, 40% gyroid infill that is an overkill, I know, but I like it that way, sturdy. I think it was something like two and almost half hours..?
