Description
These are simple magnetic supports to fixate a PCB on a steel surface. More specifically, these supports are intended to hold a PCB at the correct (aligned) position on a stencil printer (also called a screen printer). And more specifically still, I designed these for the Fritsch printAll005 manual stencil printer.
I used ⌀10 x 4 mm neodymium magnets, which are glued (with epoxy) in the supports. The "corner" and "edge" supports have a raised edge of 1 mm high. This is suitable for standard PCBs (thickness 1.6 mm), but if you use PCBs thinner than 1 mm, this must be adjusted. The supports raise the PCB 15.8 mm above the surface (which is the height that the Fritsch printAll005 requires with the Universal frame).
The design is in OpenSCAD, and customizable with the OpenSCAD customizer. For every stencil printer, you will likely need different heights, and you may want to use different magnets too. In the downloads, the 3MF file holds a set of four copies of each support type.
