ADAPTER - 50mm VACUUM to 27 mm FESTOOL REDUCING SLEEVE

A simple adapter to connect a 50mm (two inch) shopvac style vacuum cleaner to any Festool tool with a 27mm dust connecton.   

Shown is a Festool Domino.

Note this requires a Festool Anti-Static Reducing Sleeve to 36mm/27mm (498528) which is included with most 27mm tools.

This is printed with zero tolerance and the sleeve is a very tight fit by design and the sleeve pushed up from the threaded end and clicks into place.  It is best to use some rubber grease, talc, detergent or other lubricant on the part and use the vacuum hose as a screw press as a good deal of pressure is required.   As long as it is pressed firmly in place it will be fine even if through printing inaccuracy it doesn't go it all the way.

Print upright, threaded side down - no supports are necessary.    I have used PLA for all my connector fittings and all have stood up well to the usual workshop use, this one I think would be a perfect use for FLEX filament.
