Description
Adapter for Vantrue X4S dashcam main camera to use 43mm screw on filters, such as a polarizer to reduce glare.
Use an m3 hex nut (either normal or nylock) and an m3 thumbscrew like this, cut to size as desired. clamps onto the end of the lens on the unit, with the filter placed into the other end. The filter is clamped, rather than threading on. As for filters, I personally use this one. It cuts down on glare from the window quite a lot when adjusted correctly, and doesn't seem to move once set.
Printed in ASA, to prevent UV damage. I do not suggest printing this in PLA, as it will likely fail due to heat. PETG is possibly a good choice. ABS may work fine, I has one printed in ABS for a while, but started to notice some discoloration after a while.
