Snap-In Air Vent for DIY Grow Boxes

This is a simple snap-in Air Vent designed for DIY grow boxes made from transparent plastic containers, such as those from IKEA (e.g., SAMLA boxes). It enables better air circulation and is easy to install without glue or screws, just a 10mm drill bit.

Helps with airflow and reduces humidity buildup

I added a bigger and a smaller version.


🛠 Installation:

Drill a 10mm center hole in the wall of your box using a standard drill bit.

Snap the Air Vent into the hole

Using the same 10mm drill bit, drill additional air holes in the leaf-shaped gaps of the Air Vent design. Use these gaps as guides for aligning the ventilation holes.


🖨 Print in PETG or hard TPU – PLA might be too brittle for the snap-fits.
