ASUS ProArt X870E M.2 Heatsink Adapter

The “ASUS ProArt X870E-CREATOR WIFI” motherboard has a really tall heatsink for its primary M.2 slot that blocks my AIO cooler from fitting. I wanted to replace it with a Sabrent Heatsink (SB-HTSP), but that doesn't fit the motherboard's mount, because for some stupid reason there's not a standard screw hole at the 80mm point.

Unscrew the ASUS quick release mechanism on the bottom of the motherboard, and plop this down in the holes that are now present. You can reuse the screws that you just unscrewed, they should self-tap straight into the print. If you're concerned about it ripping out, get some longer screws and you can put some nuts on the other side to hold it in place. (Or you could get some heat insets if you want a metal thread.)

I made the height of this adapter so my Sabrent heatsink could lie straight - if you're using something else, like just a bare drive, you may need a spacer (or use the STEP file to adjust the height to your needs).

Because this is right next to your GPU and CPU, and the SSD is likely generating heat too, I would not advise using PLA for this. PETG should be fine.
