Description
Created as a prop for a friend's Stargrave game, this is a remix of an originally solid prop, to make it more functional and interactive. The pod itself has now been rescaled, hollowed and split so that a figure/miniature can be placed inside. The two halves of the “shell” have had tabs and holes added to allow the two pieces to clip together like one of those eggs with the toy inside. I added some detail to the computer console base, then hollowed and punched it to allow for more economical resin printing.
The lower part of the case “crypod_bottom.stl” will print directly without supports. The other two parts are supplied both supported and unsupported. A second version of the top part “cryopod_top_thinned_window.stl” has had the front part of the window especially thinned for people who want to print in clear or translucent resin so you can see inside. My own prints pictured were made with Elegoo's “Smoky Black” water-washable resin, and as such have a “tinted-glass” effect, but aren't actually transparent.
The robot included in some of the pictures is another one of my remixes - please check it out here: https://www.printables.com/model/1062204-wheeled-clockwork-homunculus-steampunk-robot-aeorm
