Description

This is a simple plug that covers the Ethernet Connector of my Lenovo P14s laptop.

Ethernet plugs and USB plugs are both ca. 12mm wide. I recently bought a new USB headset, and found that the USB plug on the right hand side of my computer is very handy for connecting the headset. Except for one morning, where I had an important conference and was not paying too much attention while plugging it in -- the headset just did not work.

Later I found, I had plugged it into the ethernet socket, that is right next the the USB socket, where it should have gone in.

Normally, ethernet sockets are a bit to narrow for USB plugs. E.g. on my other Lenovo laptop, this accident won't happen. But on the P14s, well, Lenovo decided to make the ethernet socket just wide enough so that a USB plug would fit. Not sure why they did this...

Anyway, this little plug solves the issue for me. Printed with TPU, it snugly fits into the ethernet socket, and prevents accidentially plugging in anything there. My wifi is normally fine, so I rarely use ethernet cables these days...

The 3MF file is the source. I completely modelled this part within PrusaSlicer.
