G3 / PTR / HK91 Wall Mount Magazine Holder

Overview:

This is a wall-mountable magazine holder for five G3, PTR, HK91, or otherwise compatible HK91 platform 20 round magazines (I am unsure about 30 round variants)

I'm very happy with this design and think you'll like it as well if you have a storage need for these magazines. I used the natural angle of the magazine bodies to let them slide in at a downward slope, preventing them from sliding out and falling due to vibration etc. It also makes them sit in the mount perfectly vertical, making for a clean-looking solution. It holds them nice and snug, but not too snug as to allow for some variation in size, given how many of these magazines are surplus and have some wear. 

There are five different files with very minor differences that are visual only. There's one with a G3 label, one with an HK91 label, one with a PTR label, one with a .308 label, and one blank version if you prefer no color-change label. 

Materials Needed:

• If printing at 100% infill, you'll need 340 grams of PLA filament. I used Polymaker PLA Pro, but assuming indoor/room temperature storage, regular PLA should be fine too.
• 3 Drywall screws and a screwdriver or drill

Printer Settings:

• Infill: 100% (you can push this lower if you know what you're doing, I just prefer sturdy parts)
• Layer Height: 0.2 mm
• Brim: Yes
• Supports: No
• Orientation: Print with the screw holes facing down, as though you were about to screw the magazine mount into your print bed. This is both for the color-change label, as well as for model quality. Printing the mount in the “normal” orientation will work, but make the ramp for the magazines feel rough and make the label models hard to color-swap (though the smooth function is the priority with this). I am aware that printing this way sacrifices some strength, but the “wings” were added on each side to counteract this, and make the model very strong.
• Material: I used PLA Pro, but you could get away with virtually any rigid, common 3D printing material including standard PLA.
