Test hole block

I often use a short section of filament to align parts to be glued together.  One must size the holes carefully to ensure a good fit.  This test block contains holes with diameter between 1.9 mm and 2.2 mm at various angles. A second block I have found more useful has holes from 2.0 to 2.4 mm.

Print this block on your printer and find which holes work best.  Be sure to print the test block with the same parameters as the part you plan to make.

For my Prusa MK3S machines, 1.9 mm holes give a perfect fit, whereas for my Bambu X1C, I need to go up to 2.2 mm holes. In general, vertical holes come out smaller than horizontal or 45 degree holes.
